Job Purpose

In line with BRAC's education goals, lead the creation of effective and original teaching materials, including project-based and play-based content, using various educational disciplines. This will help ensure high-quality education in BRAC Academy schools and drive special projects to enhance learning experiences, including hands-on learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance the education quality system of BRAC Academy through innovating and improving teaching learning materials for both teachers and student, assessment system in align with programme, national and global demand and standard.
• Lead execution of project and play based activities as an integral part of the curriculum and ensuring optimum quality outcome.
• To work with the design team for developing educational and capacity building materials.
• Develop and implement capacity development initiatives for teachers and staff of BRAC Academy for better service delivery through innovative supportive supervision.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the developed materials, assessment and teaching methods by analysing test data, research findings, impact studies, school visits and feedback from management staff.
• Carry out detailed field observation on a regular basis to determine programme quality and provide feedback to relevant teams, staff to ensure quality education system and standards are maintained.
• Prepare and review different reports, proposals, concept notes etc. as per programme need.
• Undertake, lead and deliver on special projects related to teaching-learning.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Job Requirements

• Partial involvement on annual planning of BRAC Education Programme
• Conceptualizing and implementing unique concepts such as developing learners’ moral and 21st-century skills (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication) in an attractive way that would give them a feeling of accomplishment after each lesson without the pressure of formal assessments.
