Job Purpose

To produce and procure quality inbred rice seed in different seasons according to approved target considering cost minimization through contract growers as well as to provide technical and logistic support & staff development.                

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare yearly budget according to vested target & make a comprehensive action plan for implementing of Inbred Rice Seed Production activities.
• Provide technical & logistic support to concern people as need and evaluating & monitoring of ongoing activities to ensure the targeted production.
•  Ensure all inputs for implementation of seed production activities and ensure proper use and maintenance of all kinds of materials and resources.
• Staff development by meeting, training, coaching and ensure accountability of staffs.
• Take necessary step to maintain seed quality with genetic purity (at least 98%) through conducting rouging, Isolation and post harvest activities properly.
• To keep conversion loss at expected level in raw seed procurement & process loss maximum 3% at SPC level of produced / procured seeds at different seasons.
• Timely reporting to SCA for ensuring seed certification in order to purchase / procure of targeted seed.
• All types of official documents update, reporting to the legal authority and record keeping accordingly.

• 1. Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• 2. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. 
• 3. Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
